Peptide Plus offers a groundbreaking new approach to pet nutrition using Freshtrusion® HDP (Highly Digestible Protein) technology. It is the unique process of cooking fresh meat and fish ingredients in the presence of a natural enzyme, which digests (hydrolyses) the protein into a mixture of peptides and free amino acids. By making the peptides smaller, mimicking the natural breakdown that occurs in the dog’s stomach during digestion, the digestibility and bioavailability of the proteins are increased and it improves the taste as well!
The fish peptides and protein hydrolysates found in the Peptide Plus Weight Control, have been demonstrated to highly stimulate the secretion of appetite-suppressive molecules. Short-term, this induces a decrease in food intake by increasing the feeling of satiety, and the added extra fibre helps your dog to feel full for longer (and can be helpful for dogs with anal gland issues).
The low fat / calorie content & added l-carnitine helps promote lean muscle mass, and the additional green lipped mussel & Omega 3 content helps with joint inflammation and repair.
