Peptides. They’re a pretty big deal. If they’re not in your skincare products, baby milk formula or health supplements, then chances are they are about to be.

But what are peptides?  Simply put, they are a short chain of protein molecules linked together by one or more special 'peptide' bonds - so they're a kind of protein fragment, rather than the whole protein chain.  These specific protein fragments (short chain peptides) are the perfect size for the easiest & most rapid absorption by the body.  Once absorbed, the body re-forms them into different proteins, such as skin, hair, muscles, antibodies, enzymes, hormones, etc.

Your Peptide + diets create the peptides through a process called enzymatic hydrolysis. This is a natural process that uses specific enzymes to break down proteins into smaller peptides. This method avoids the need for extreme heat or harsh chemicals, ensuring the proteins retain their nutritional integrity. 

It is a gentler and more efficient way to create easily digestible nutrients for optimal health.

Obviously, your dog's digestive tract does this itself too, but by breaking the proteins into peptides before your dog eats them we increase the nutritional value of the fresh meat/fish proteins because more of the good stuff can be more easily utilized by your dog.

However, peptides are great news for allergic dogs too.  Because the proteins have been broken down into fragments (short chain peptides), the body no longer recognises them. And because the body no longer recognises them, it no longer reacts to them.  It's particularly good news for dogs with mulitple protein allergies, or protein allergies owners can't seem to get to the bottom of.

And, unlike many other targeted 'veterinary' diets, dogs really, really enjoy the taste!
